In Summer 2020, the Miss Earth organization opted to hold a virtual edition due to health restrictions associated with the COVID-19 global pandemic. Therefore, a select number of 2020 delegates participated in the August 8th virtual production to select Miss Earth USA 2020. LINDSEY COFFEY was the winner and went on to be selected as the first USA delegate to win the international title of MISS EARTH.  

The organization thereafter invited eligible 2020 delegates to also compete at the 2021 national pageant held in January. So in 2020, there were some state delegates who became ineligible to transfer their registration to compete in January 2021 due to age eligibility. The following delegates competed at the summer 2020 VIRTUAL program.
