Fairfax Public Access Television Announces Pageant Broadcast Dates

Washington, D.C. – Fairfax Public Access has announced television broadcast dates of the 2016 Miss Earth United States pageant finals. Viewers will enjoy a one-hour edited version of last year's pageant airing throughout the month of February. The feature airs on Channel 10 "DC Entertainment Mix" in the states of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Presented by EarthWater, the 2016 United States preliminary to Miss Earth, a top 3 international pageant, took place on August 2 at the Rachel M Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center in Washington, DC.

 

The show features 46 candidates, hailing from states across the USA, modeling Mac Duggal fashionwear, Pixton Design swimwear and personal selections of evening gowns. Co-hosts are Steven Roddy of The Pageant Planet and Zoe Torres of Univision. Appearances include 2015 Miss Earth Angelia Ong, 2015 Miss Earth-Water Brittany Ann Payne and live vocal performances by former Miss United States Candiace Dillard and the Howard University Choir.

Fairfax Public Access Television will broadcast a one-hour version of the final pageant on multiple dates in February. Channel 10 is available via Cox, Comcast and Verizon providers throughout the Washington DC Metro area. The show is produced by Chris McClendon / DC Entertainment Mix.

Managed by Carousel Productions of the Philippines, Miss Earth focuses on empowering women through fashion, leadership, travel and service opportunities. Delegates advocate for environmental awareness and protection of the Earth while showcasing various tourist destinations. 

 

The winner of 2016 Miss Earth United States was Corrin Stellakis of New York. Stellakis traveled to the Philippines in October to compete with 90 countries for the 16th annual Miss Earth competition. Stellakis ranked in the final Top 8.

 

First runner up was Mae-Ann Webb of South Carolina, second runner up Devin Boyd of Louisiana and third runner up Kesha Clark of Texas. The national director of Miss Earth United States is Laura Clark, owner of US Earth Productions, Inc. / Beauty Beyond Borders, Inc.in Washington, DC.

The United States program is currently planning for the 2017 production taking place in August. Candidates are selected through an extensive interview, audition and pageant process throughout the winter and spring. Supporting divisions are offered for ages 11-34 including a teen international program advancing to competition in Ecuador.
