Miss Earth USA Delegates Engage Hundreds of Volunteers for World Clean Up Day

Washington, D.C. – Miss Earth USA and state delegates from coast to coast show they are more than beauty; they are beauties for a cause. During World Clean Up Day on September 18, they will engage hundreds of volunteers from coast to coast during efforts in association with The Clean Earth Project and Garbo Grabber clean up tools.

Miss Earth USA charitable efforts are conducted via the official nonprofit 501(c)3 organization B4AC - Beauties for a Cause. In addition to volunteer efforts on World Clean Up Day and Earth Day, the organization encourages delegates to conduct their own Think Global Act Local community event. Each year, the organization awards scholarships and conducts a major mission trip to aid in environmental impact projects. Past missions have included Puerto Rico and California.

The winner of Miss Earth USA represents the United States at Miss Earth, one of the most watched environmental impact events on the planet. The reigning titleholder is Marisa Butler of Maine, who conducts weekly clean up events via her nonprofit organization We Clean Trails.

The organization also names delegates in the Mrs. and Teen divisions, as well as junior program for girls age 5 and older.
