“I am proud to now represent young women all over the world,” said Levandowski. “I want women everywhere to know that they can be anything they want to be. We are strong, smart and beautiful.”

Levandowski only recently began her pageant career, first winning the Texas pageant in August 2015, then visiting Washington, D.C. to receive the United States title in August 2016.

The 5th Annual Miss Teen Earth International pageant is managed by Rodrigo Moreira. Now in its fifth year, the global organization is recognized as the most important pageant for teenagers around the world. Delegates advocate for environmental awareness and protection of the Earth.

The international competition included interview, national costume, swimwear, evening gown and on-stage question. Levandowski’s wardrobe was created by famed pageant designers Mac Duggal and Pixton Design Group. National delegates dedicated four days to events in Panama including a reforestation project, meeting with the Vice Mayor of Panama City, visit to a children’s hospital and national media interviews.

2015 winner Daniela Cepeda of Ecuador crowned Levandowski at the conclusion of events on October 2. First runner up was Mexico, followed by Ecuador, Paraguay and Panama. Candidates were between the ages of 15 and 19. The crown is created by a prestigious Venezuelan designer and is valued at $10,000.

“Sarah is very deserving of this title,” said Texas state director Jackie Garcia-Martinez. “Even at such a young age, she is hard working and dedicated. She never missed a training session, gym appointment, and managed her own packing and preparation checklist.”

The national director of Miss Earth United States is Laura Clark, owner of US Earth Productions, Inc. The USA organization also selects a delegate for the Miss Earth competition, one of the most highly anticipated international pageants. 2016 Miss Earth United States Corrin Stellakis, age 19 of New York, will represent the USA against nearly 100 nations this October in the Philippines.
