Washington, D.C. – A new USA representative for Miss Earth will be crowned on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Linda Chapin Theater located in the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida. Over 100 state and regional delegates will attend pageant activities hosted by the Rosen Plaza Hotel.

Advocating Beauty for a Cause™, Miss Earth® empowers women through community leadership, eco-tourism, and environmental education. Miss Earth is known as the planet’s most relevant pageant, drawing nearly 100 national representatives each year to compete at international festivities.

Reigning Miss Earth USA Lindsey Coffey of Pennsylvania is currently representing the United States of America at the annual competition being held through November 29. Typically held in the Philippines, this year’s international Miss Earth activities are being held through a virtual platform, due to the health and travel restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

“During these challenging times, I’m incredibly proud of the Miss Earth organizers for honoring each country, these hard working women and our mission,” said Laura Clark, USA National Director. “Many pageants are opting out of a program until the pandemic clears, but we believe that the impact of Beauty for a Cause still remains incredibly powerful.”

The Miss Earth USA organization is recognized as a charitable organization with 501(c)3 tax exempt status. Each of the USA state delegates takes part in her choice of community environmental projects. During national activities, delegates conduct a clean up in partnership with Garbo Grabber and The Clean Earth Project. Additional activities, awards and scholarships are made possible by corporate partners including She Votes, ASHLEYlauren, HOTWORX, Nic B Cosmetics, Queenly and The Sash Company.

The organization selects a national delegate for four competition divisions ages 13-59, including contests for teens and married women. A diverse judging panel evaluates candidates on leadership potential, communication skills, social media influence and modeling abilities. In addition to international competition, USA national delegates are granted the opportunity to travel for environmental service and model at major events such as New York Fashion Week.

Enrollment for the next Miss Earth USA pageant will continue through November 1, 2020. Visit missearthusa.com for details. Media and potential partners may contact marketing@missearthusa.com.
